It provides a limited but simplified interface to the FLoReS dialogue manager with a templated NLG and a maximum entropy classifier for NLU.<\/p>\n<p>Roundtable is a sandbox that lets you create and test conversational virtual characters. It is built upon a virtual human architecture developed for a system called <a href=\"http:\/\/ict.usc.edu\/prototypes\/simcoach\/\">SimCoach<\/a>, originally for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcoe.health.mil\/\">Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/dev.simcoach.org\/simcoach\/landing.html\">DCOE<\/a>. It builds upon a set of technologies developed over the past decade at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ict.usc.edu\/\">USC&#8217;s Institute of Creative Technologies<\/a>. Early on in the effort, we envisioned a toolset that would make it easier to create, test and deploy conversational virtual humans on the ubiquitous medium of the web.
